Rubber Duck Race at Volunteer Landing

Full Description:

Race Day
Come cheer your duck on, bring your quacky friends, and invite your favorite ducks to view the sensational race! Adopt more ducks for more fun! Adoption tickets are good for multiple adoptions.

What: The Great Knoxville Rubber Duck Race will be a one mile race with approximately 40,000 to 50,000 Rubber Ducks competing for over $35,000 in prizes. Each duck will be numbered and each adopted duck will receive a corresponding Lucky Duck Adoption Number.

When: Saturday, August 5, 2006

Where: Volunteer Landing

Why:To benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley, which serves over 8,800 children in Knox Co., Scott Co., Blount Co., Fentress Co., North Anderson Co., and Loudon Co.

Schedule
9:00 AM Duck Head Kids Carnival begins

9:15 AM Calhoun's VID Brunch

12:02 PM Race begins: Upstream or downstream of Waterfront Park

12:51 PM Race ends at Henley Street Bridge

1:30 PM Announcement of winning numbers at Waterfront Park/ Times may vary depending on water and weather conditions
